My Lifetime Consecration
Dear friends and family,
On June 12th, I promised to live faithfully the evangelical counsels of Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience and to forego the goods of marriage for the sake of the kingdom of God for the rest of my life. It was a beautiful day! I was so happy to see so many of you there in person to support me. I wanted to share with you some of the photos from that day! The lighting was fairly low at St. Agnes, so please excuse how dark some of the shots seem.
Making my promises before the altar.
Joey Clem and Kevin Parker made Lifetime Promises as married men in the community. Fr. Jack Peterson is seen here blessing their commitment.
Two of my consecrated brothers renewed their promises for three years. Their “yes” to God is a powerful witness to young people that seeking and finding your vocation is a part of the Christian journey.
Bishop Michael Burbidge was the main celebrant for the Mass. He has been of much support to Youth Apostles during his time as Bishop of Arlington.
Youth Apostle brothers consider one another to be family. We embrace each other to show a deep sense of care and affection. That same love that we learn to have for our brothers, we strive to give to young people.
Seven brothers made commitments that day. From left to right: Joseph Clem (Lifetime Full Member); Kevin Parker (Lifetime Full Member); Austin Mee (3-year Consecrated Full Member); Myself (Lifetime Consecrated Full Member); Sam Swanson (Full Member); Jeff Badstubner (3-year Consecrated Full Member); Andrew Carpenter (Candidate).
My family is where God has blest me the most in life so far. They have all been so supportive of me on this journey, especially my parents.
As always, please continue to pray for me. I will be praying for you as well.
My parish assignment is going well. I have 6 more weeks left. I will be sending some more updates detailing how the assignment has been in the coming weeks.
Peace!
